1. What data we collect

SebaDEX is an application that runs mostly on your device. We do not require an account or sign-up.

Data that does NOT leave your device: your saved collection (My Dex), the photos you take when scanning cards, the computer vision processing (YOLO, OCR, hashing) and your language and currency preferences. All of this is stored locally in your browser (localStorage).

Data that is sent: queries to Pokémon card APIs (TCGdex, pokemontcg.io) when you search for a card, and anonymous queries to our visual hash database (Supabase) to identify cards.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to remember your preferences (language, currency, collection).

Our advertising partners, including Google, may place cookies on your device to show more relevant ads and measure performance.

3. Advertising and Google AdSense

SebaDEX is funded by advertising. We work with Google AdSense, a third-party provider.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on SebaDEX. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to SebaDEX and other sites on the Internet.

Some of our advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons on our site. These third-party advertisers include, but are not limited to, Google AdSense.

4. User consent (GDPR / EEA / UK / Switzerland)

If you are connecting from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will show you a consent message managed by Google's Consent Management Platform (CMP), compliant with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) v2.3.

You have the right to consent, refuse or manage your choices at any time. You can change your choice via the "Manage consent" button in the footer or by clearing your browser cookies.

5. California user rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, request its deletion and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your data for personalized advertising.

We display a California-specific privacy message. You can exercise your rights by contacting us at the address listed at the end of this page.

6. How to disable cookies

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that this may affect how some parts of the site work.

7. Third-party data

We use the following third-party services: TCGdex and pokemontcg.io (card data), TCGplayer and Cardmarket (prices), Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics (anonymous usage analytics), Supabase (visual hash database).

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

8. Children

SebaDEX is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last update appears at the top of the document. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
